The Asheville 2018 Van Life Rally took place September 21-23rd this year in the foothills of North Carolina.

More than 200 vehicles showed up at the rally and parked at JuneBug Retro Resort. The resort can be found about 15 minutes away from downtown Asheville. The area has an organic farm on the property and a beautiful river that runs through, making it the perfect place to "Park your van down by the river"!

Vans were located on each side of the river. The flooded in Friday morning and throughout the evening. Food trucks were located in the middle of the property along with beer and wonderful music. Near the area there was a section for off-roading and schoolies to be placed.

Micah Pulleyn, the creator and host of the event coordinated the food and beverage venders, emergency vehicles, and sponsors for the event.

The event was a wonderful place to remind us all of how prevalent the Van-Life community is in Western North Carolina and surrounding areas. The event was also a brilliant place to mesh the van-life community with the eclectic community of Asheville.

This year marked the fourth annual Asheville Van-life Rally. 2018 was the first year the event was made into a weekend long camping experience. Saturday was a day dedicated to touring different vans as the event was open to the community, not just van-lifers!

The events throughout the weekend included yoga, workshops on sustainability, a jewelry making class and more!

The event donated a portion of the profits to the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity.

See you out there in 2019 van-lifers!
